What is eric lemarque?

Eric LeMarque is a former professional ice hockey player from the United States who gained international attention after surviving eight days stranded in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in February 2004. LeMarque had gone snowboarding alone in the mountains but got lost and was forced to survive in freezing temperatures with limited supplies.

LeMarque's story was later turned into a book titled "Crystal Clear: The Autobiographies of Eric LeMarque" and a feature film called "6 Below: Miracle on the Mountain" starring Josh Hartnett, which was released in 2017.

Aside from his survival story, LeMarque is known for his successful ice hockey career, playing as a forward in minor league and semi-professional teams in the U.S. and Europe. He also served as a hockey consultant on the film "Miracle" about the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team. LeMarque has been open about his struggles with addiction and has used his experiences to inspire others through motivational speaking engagements and engaging with various charitable organizations.
